- When asbestos removal results in a change in the state of the fibers
- When non-friable asbestos is damaged by internal application

A hermetic zone is created in several stages:
- Cleaning the work area
- Application of double plastic film to ensure total containment of the area
- Installation of airlocks to let personnel, equipment and waste in and out
- Wastewater filtration
- Use of air extractors to ensure vacuum conditions

- Disposable protective clothing (dustproof suit)
